GHF Seeks Volunteer Docents for Bishop's Palace

GHF is seeking volunteers to participate in its new docent training program at Bishop’s Palace. Those who complete the course will be eligible to serve as volunteer guides at Bishop’s Palace on a part-time basis.

Orientation/Galveston History April 16
The Gresham Family April 23
Nicholas Clayton/The Architecture of Bishop’s Palace/ Bishop Byrne and the Bishop’s Palace April 30
Practice Tours by Program Participants May 7

Each session will be followed by a tour of Bishop's Palace with GHF staff. Other topics to be incorporated into each session are customer service and guidelines for giving a good museum tour.

Study sessions will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Bishop’s Palace, 1402 Broadway.
